**Campaign Page Overview**

Our campaign page is designed for maximum user convenience, organized into three intuitive tabs to simplify the process of setting up and managing your SMS campaigns.

**1. Message Tab:**

<figure><img src="https://1617928555-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F56vP61LHDfGd4HenwKbH%2Fuploads%2FEnuaQAiKgCVqJ4mzTnPG%2Fmessage.png?alt=media&amp;token=bab20848-053f-4a3d-83e4-3eff9898da89" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

In this tab, you can craft the content of your SMS campaign. We offer several features to help you create effective messages:

* **Personalization Options**: Easily personalise your text messages with placeholders for recipient names, dates, and other custom details to enhance engagement.

{% embed url="<https://d7networks.com/media/documents/message.webm>" %}

**2. Contacts & Schedule tab**

One of the key aspects of campaign scheduling is adding your target audience, specifically the recipient phone numbers. Given that your list might include thousands of contacts, manually adding each number would be incredibly time-consuming. To streamline this process, we offer four efficient options for adding recipients to your SMS campaign:

<figure><img src="https://1617928555-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F56vP61LHDfGd4HenwKbH%2Fuploads%2FMj0Xa1xLdsOwVtUs8ACe%2Fc%26s.png?alt=media&amp;token=afa54f1f-98ee-4e96-a249-8bbeecfd7c6c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **Copy Paste:** Enter phone numbers individually for smaller or highly specific lists.
* **Add from Contacts:** Quickly import phone numbers directly from your existing contact list within the platform.
* **Add from Group:** Select predefined groups of contacts that you’ve already organised, making it easy to target specific segments of your audience.
* **Import from CSV:** Upload a CSV file containing all your recipient phone numbers for bulk additions. This is ideal for large-scale campaigns, ensuring a quick and hassle-free import process

**Note:** For detailed instructions on adding Contacts and Groups, please refer to the [Contact book](/contact-book/add-your-contacts) section in the documentation.

We provide the flexibility to allow or disallow **duplicate contacts**. When disallowed, only unique contacts will be included as campaign recipients. However, if permitted, the same contact number may appear multiple times. This duplication feature proves beneficial in scenarios where you filter your contacts based on variables or if you have personalised messages to send, where the same contact number may have different associated variables in your contact book.

Additionally, there is an option to [**filter recipients**](/sms/send-sms-campaign/campaign-filters) based on rules you provide, allowing for more precise targeting.

Once the recipients are added, you can easily schedule the timing of your campaign to ensure it reaches your audience at the optimal moment.

**3. Summary Tab**

In this tab, a country-wise recipient list will be displayed, giving you a clear overview of your campaign's reach and ensuring that your messages are being sent to the correct regions.

<figure><img src="https://1617928555-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F56vP61LHDfGd4HenwKbH%2Fuploads%2F4B1GFNfyfFg1Mg6ch37q%2Fsummary.png?alt=media&amp;token=a380e882-c4b9-4a1f-8343-8a30bda3b99b" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Set up WhatsApp ChatBot

Create and manage WhatsApp chat flows with our chatbot feature.

Our dashboard includes a chatbot feature that lets you design and manage your own WhatsApp chat flows, providing an intuitive way to create automated conversations and enhance customer interactions.

<figure><img src="https://1617928555-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F56vP61LHDfGd4HenwKbH%2Fuploads%2FOkxSzvojHHzlFQac7EDU%2Fimage%20(2).png?alt=media&amp;token=6e294d6e-4817-46c4-8ffe-0eb8629336fc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Getting Started**

1. **Creating Your Chatbot**:
   * Upon accessing the chatbot feature, a form will open asking you to provide a name for your chatbot. Choose a name that represents the function or purpose of your chatbot.
   * Additionally, you will have the option to choose a registered WhatsApp phone number for your chatbot. This step is optional, meaning you can create your chat flows without connecting to a WhatsApp registered number. Note that, as of now, one phone number can be connected to one chat flow.
   * You will have the option to add keywords. This step is optional. If added, the chatbot will start replying when a user sends a first message that matches the keywords.
   * Enable session expiry to set an idle time in minutes. If the user becomes inactive during a conversation, the chatbot will automatically send a session expiry message.
2. **Drawable Page Interface**:
   * After naming your chatbot and optionally selecting a WhatsApp phone number, you will be taken to a drawable page. This is where you can define and visualize your WhatsApp chat flow.
   * The drawable interface allows you to create nodes and connect them, representing the flow of the conversation.

**Creating Your Chat Flow**

1. **Adding Messages**:
   * **Text Messages**: You can add simple text messages that will be sent to users at specific points in the conversation.
   * **Media Messages**:Upload and share images, videos, documents, stickers, audio, contacts, and locations with users.
   * **Interactive Messages**: Enhance user engagement with interactive elements such as buttons, lists, and links for quick responses.
   * **Conditional Logics**:Control how the conversation flows by setting up rules. Based on whether a condition is met, the bot automatically routes the user to the correct next step.
     1. **User input & value** \
Define conditions based on what the user types or a specific value you set. If the condition is satisfied, the flow moves to the corresponding **Yes** step. If not satisfied, it redirects to the **No** step — ensuring every user always follows the right path.
     2. **Business hours**

When a user messages within the configured time zone and active time window, the flow continues to the next step. Messages received outside business hours are routed to a separate fallback step.
   * **Integration :**&#x59;ou can trigger automated actions and extend your conversation flow.
     1. &#x20;**Webhook**&#x20;

Call any external API directly from your flow\.You can test the webhook before saving and capture the response. Based on the response received, the flow can be routed to different next steps — letting you branch logic depending on what the external service returns.
     2. **Nested bot**

Within your deployed bot, you can connect other bots you've already built and saved on the platform. When the conversation reaches this step, messages are passed through the connected bot — allowing complex, reusable sub-flows to run seamlessly within the main conversation.
   * **Frequency Control:**&#x53;et a trigger frequency to manage how often a flow runs. You can choose to either stop the flow entirely or skip the current step and move forward if the time limit is reached.
2. **Defining the Flow**:
   * Use the drawable interface to connect different messages and create a coherent conversation flow.
   * Each node represents a step in the conversation, and arrows define the path the conversation takes based on user interactions.
3. &#x20;**Test Your Flow**:
   * Once you have defined your chat flow, save your progress and use our built-in simulator to test it. This allows you to preview exactly how the chatbot interacts with user responses in real time, ensuring everything works perfectly before you deploy it.
4. **Saving and Deploying the Flow**:
   * Once you have defined your chat flow, save the flow.
   * To see your chat flow in action, deploy the flow. This will activate your designed conversation and make it functional for user interactions.

**Chatbot Performance Analytics**\
Gain deep insights into how your automation is performing with our comprehensive data dashboard.

Track the following key metrics to optimize your user experience:

* Total Users:The number of users who have interacted with the chatbot since its deployment.
* Unique Users:The number of distinct user who have messaged the bot.
* Active Conversations: The number of conversation currently in progress.

# Flow

Create reusable OTP verification flows that define how codes are generated, which channel sends them, and which channels take over if the first one fails.

## Verification Flow

A **Verification Flow** is a saved OTP configuration. You set up the OTP settings (code length, expiry, channel, sender, message) once in the dashboard, and every verification that uses the flow follows them.

Each flow defines:

* **OTP rules**: code type, code length, expiry, and resend limits.
* **Primary channel**: SMS, Voice, or WhatsApp, with its sender and message.
* **Fallback sequence** (optional): up to two more channels, tried in the order you set.

You can create as many flows as you need, for example one for sign-up, one for login, and one for payment confirmation.

Go to **Verify → Flow** in the D7 dashboard to manage your flows.

### Before you start

<table><thead><tr><th width="269">Channel</th><th>What you need</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>SMS</td><td>At least one registered SMS originator (sender ID). If you have none, <a href="https://d7networks.com/contact/">contact us</a> to register one.</td></tr><tr><td>WhatsApp</td><td>A WhatsApp Business number onboarded under <strong>WhatsApp → Getting Started</strong>, and at least one approved <strong>Authentication</strong> template for that number.</td></tr><tr><td>Voice</td><td>No onboarding needed. To place a <strong>Test Call</strong> from the flow editor, your account's mobile number must be verified (<strong>Account → Preferences</strong>).</td></tr></tbody></table>

### The Flow list

The **Flow** page lists all your flows with these columns:

| Column | Description |
| ------------ | ----------------------------------------------- |
| **Name** | The display name you gave the flow. |
| **Flow Id** | The flow's unique identifier. |
| **Channel** | The primary channel (SMS, VOICE, or WHATSAPP). |
| **OTP Type** | The code type: numeric, alpha, or alphanumeric. |

Use the search box to find a flow by name or Flow ID. Each row has three actions:

* **Edit**: opens the flow in the editor.
* **Delete**: removes the flow after you confirm.
* **Analytics**: opens the flow's analytics page.

\
Create a flow

Click **Create Flow**. The editor has three steps.\
\
General settings

**General Identity**

| Field | Description |
| ------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Flow Name** | A name to recognise the flow, for example `User Signup Flow`. Up to 150 characters. |
| **Flow ID** | The flow's unique identifier, used by your developers to send OTPs through this flow. It's filled in automatically from the name (for example `user_signup_flow`), and you can change it. Only lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores are allowed. Up to 150 characters. |

The Flow ID must be unique in your account, and it **can't be changed after the flow is created**.

**OTP Complexity**

| Option | Characters used | Example |
| ---------------- | --------------- | -------- |
| **Alpha** | a–z | `abcdef` |

Click **Next : Channels**.\
\
Primary channel

Under **Select Preferred Channel**, choose the channel used to send the OTP first. A **Live Preview** on the right shows how the message will look, using a sample code that matches your OTP settings.

**SMS**

* **Originator**: the sender name shown on the user's phone.
* **Message Content**: the SMS text. Use `{}` where the OTP should appear, for example `Your OTP Code is {}`.

**Voice**

* **Voice Language**: the language of the automated call.&#x20;
* **Gender**: shown when the selected language has more than one voice.
* **Voice Content**: the text read out on the call. Use `{}` where the OTP should be spoken, for example `Your verification code is {}. I repeat, your verification code is {}.`
* **Test Call**: places a real call to a number you enter, so you can hear the message before saving.

**WhatsApp**

* **Originator**: your onboarded WhatsApp Business number.
* **WhatsApp Message Template**: an approved Authentication template for that number. Select the originator first to load its templates.

Click **Next : Fallback Logic**.

#### Fallback logic (optional)

Fallback channels give the OTP another way to reach the user if the primary channel doesn't succeed. You can add up to two fallback channels. Only channels other than the primary one are listed:

* **Global SMS**: Text-only fallback that works on all devices.
* **WhatsApp Business**: High deliverability.
* **Voice Call**: automated text-to-speech call.

To set up the **Fallback Sequence**:

1. Select the checkbox on a channel card to add it. A number badge shows its position in the sequence (1 is tried first).
2. Click a card to show its settings under **Configuration Details**, and fill them in. The fields are the same as in step 2 (for Voice, the language field is labelled **TTS Language**).
3. If you add two fallback channels, use **Swap Fallback Priority** to change their order.

If you start editing a channel's settings, it's added to the sequence automatically. Clear its checkbox to remove it.

**Voice is billed as an add-on.** When a flow combines Voice with SMS or WhatsApp (as primary or fallback), an extra Voice charge applies on top of your SMS/WhatsApp Verify price whenever Voice is used to send the OTP.

Click **Create Flow** to save. If a selected fallback channel is missing required details, the editor opens that channel's settings and highlights what's missing.

# Flow Analytics

Track how many OTPs a flow sends, delivers, and verifies, how often it falls back to another channel, and how each channel performs.

## Verification Flow Analytics

Each verification flow has its own analytics page. It shows the flow's performance over a date range you choose, and lets you test, edit, export, or delete the flow.

To open it, go to **Verify → Flow** and click the **Analytics** icon on the flow's row.

<figure><img src="https://1617928555-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F56vP61LHDfGd4HenwKbH%2Fuploads%2FybQtDEM3wuEvV0qNc9iK%2Fflow_analytics.png?alt=media&amp;token=1645f0c0-126c-4eab-9794-79ba7277b7e3" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Header

The header shows the flow's details:

* **Flow name** and its **primary channel** (SMS, VOICE, or WHATSAPP).
* **Flow ID**.
* **Updated** date: when the flow was last changed.
* **Voice language**: shown for flows whose primary channel is Voice.

It also has these controls:

| Control | What it does |
| -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Date range** | Selects the period for all the data on the page. See Choose a date range. |
| **Edit Flow** | Opens the flow editor. See Edit a flow. |
| **Export** | Downloads the daily data for the selected range as a CSV file. |
| **Delete** | Deletes the flow after you confirm, and returns you to the flow list. |
| **Test Flow** | Sends and verifies a real test OTP. |

### Choose a date range

By default, the page shows the **last 90 days**. Use the date picker to choose another range; the whole page updates.

You can't select future dates or dates before the flow was created. If the flow is less than 90 days old, the range starts on its creation date.

### Summary metrics

| Metric | Description |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Verifications** | Total OTP verification requests made with this flow. |
| **Delivered** | Requests where the OTP was delivered to the user (Verifications minus Failed). |
| **Verified** | Requests where the user entered the correct OTP. |
| **Verification Rate** | Percentage of verification requests that were verified (Verified ÷ Verifications). |
| **Fallback Rate** | Percentage of verifications that needed a fallback channel. Hover over the info icon to see the number of fallback verifications and the average number of fallback hops. |

A **hop** is one move to the next channel in the fallback sequence. For example, SMS → Voice is one hop; SMS → WhatsApp → Voice is two.

### Verification Trend

The **Verification Trend** chart plots two daily lines for the selected range:

* **Verifications**: OTP requests made each day.
* **Verified**: OTPs verified each day.

The gap between the two lines shows how many users didn't complete verification. Hover over a day to see its values.

### Status Breakdown

Shows how many verification requests are in each status for the selected range:

<table><thead><tr><th width="250">Status</th><th>Meaning</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>OPEN</strong></td><td>The OTP was sent and is still waiting to be verified.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>APPROVED</strong></td><td>The user entered the correct OTP.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>FAILED</strong></td><td>The OTP verification failed.</td></tr><tr><td><strong>EXPIRED</strong></td><td>The OTP wasn't verified before the flow's expiry duration ran out.</td></tr></tbody></table>

### Channel Breakdown

Shows the verification status split by the channel each OTP was **finally** delivered or verified on, including fallback channels. For example, if an OTP fell back from SMS to Voice and was verified, it counts under **Voice**.

For each channel used in the period you'll see:

* The channel's **verification rate** and **total** requests.
* A bar split into **Verified**, **Failed**, **Expired**, and **Open**. Hover over a segment to see its count and percentage.
* The count for each status under the bar.

Use it to compare channels and decide whether to change your primary channel or fallback order.

### Export data

Click **Export** to download a CSV file of the daily data for the selected range. The file has these columns:

| Column | Description |
| ----------------- | -------------------------------- |
| **Date** | The day, in `YYYY-MM-DD` format. |
| **Verifications** | OTP requests made that day. |
| **Delivered** | OTPs delivered that day. |
| **Verified** | OTPs verified that day. |

The file is named after the flow, channel, and date range, for example `flow-analytics-user_signup_flow-SMS-2026-07-01_to_2026-09-30.csv`. **Export** is disabled when there's no data in the selected range.

### Test a flow

Use **Test Flow** to check a flow end to end before you use it in production. It sends a real OTP through the flow's configured channels.

1. Click the **Test Flow** button (paper-plane icon) in the header.
2. Enter a **Phone Number** and click **Send Test**.
3. Enter the code you receive and click **Verify OTP**.

When the code is verified, you'll see **Flow verified successfully**.

If you don't receive the code, click **Resend Code** after the countdown ends. The countdown matches the flow's **Retry Delay**. To use a different number, click the back arrow.

Test OTPs are real messages or voice calls and are charged at the standard verification rates.
